Scope of Work

In this individual presentation, you are to prepare a presentation file in Microsoft PowerPoint about your research on the topic including introduction to your topic and its significance, a summary of your literature, identified gaps and your research objective, your initial research framework/methodology, expected  outcome, and research plan/schedule. As  the  theme project this year is Western Sydney Airport, it is essential that students clearly show the linkage, relevance, and application of the nominated topic with the Western Sydney Airport. In preparing your presentation slides, you can use different visual communication modes to support your written text including pictures, sketches, graphs, flowcharts, tables, drawings, schematics, and photographs. You are not allowed to use video in your presentation file as the main focus is to evaluate your own presentation. You need to submit a PDF version of your prepared presentation file before the deadline (17:00, Sunday, 07 July 2024) onto the Moodle. You cannot change or update your PowerPoint file after submitting it.

As the next part of this Assessment Task, you will present your slides in your Workshop in either Week 7, Week 8 or, Week 9 by way of a live in-class face-to-face presentation of your previously submitted slides. It is expected that your presentation will be completed in 10 to 12 minutes. You need to practice several times before the real presentation to be able to manage your presentation time. You do your presentations in your enrolled workshop session, as there are 16 students in each workshop group, five or six students do their presentation in each week. In Week 5 workshop, your demonstrator will discuss and allocate you a time slot (in Weeks 7, 8, or 9) to do your in-class presentation.
